Jennefer Witter, the
president of The Boreland Group Inc., is
a 20+ year industry veteran. Jennefer’s
background runs the gamut of corporate,
consumer, technology, not-for-profit,
and business-to-business communications.
She has deep experience in creating and
leading corporate and executive
visibility programs and has spearheaded
efforts to strategically position
clients through effective, targeted
campaigns. Jennefer has directed
comprehensive media relations programs,
including media tours, story placements,
editorial meetings, and bylined
articles. In addition, she has
successfully launched products and
companies in highly competitive
categories.
Jennefer provides her
clients with big-agency know-how without
the big agency red-tape. Her clients
benefit from her intimate knowledge of
the PR industry and her thorough
understanding of how to creatively work
within the discipline’s framework to
achieve their communications goals. Her
client base
includes several real estate accounts,
including Jacky Teplitzky, a top broker
with Prudential Douglas Elliman and the leader of
The Jacky Teplitzky Team; The Real
Estate Academy, a continuing education
school for real estate professionals;
Dwelling Quest, a top Manhattan-based
residential and commercial brokerage
firm that also offers mortgage services; and Fillmore Real Estate, New York
City’s largest privately owned
residential and commercial real estate
company. She represents the Pajama
Program, a not-for-profit charity that
provides new pajamas to needy and abused
children. Her company acts as a public
relations consultant to the Drum Major
Institute for Public Policy (DMI), a
non-partisan, non-profit organization
dedicated to creating social and
economic justice through progressive
policy.
Jennefer has worked with
Fortune 500 companies and has
contributed to award-winning programs. A
former vice president at Ketchum, a top
five international public relations
agency, she led domestic and global
staffs on behalf of blue-chip accounts
such as FedEx Corp, Coty, IBM, Pitney
Bowes and AC Nielsen. In addition to
working with her clients’ corporate
communications departments, she also
dealt with many chief executive officers
in developing individualized visibility
and media relation programs. Her efforts
and consistent rock-solid
professionalism led to her receive
Ketchum’s highest employee honor, the
Catalyst award.
Jennefer serves on DMI’s Board of
Directors, which also includes
Ambassador Andrew Young, Martin Luther
King, III, Melvyn I. Weiss, and Robert
F. Kennedy, Jr. She is also an active
member of the Pajama Program’s Board of
Directors. Jennefer
is a member of New York
Women in Communications and Amnesty
International, where she participates in
letter-writing campaigns designed to
help protect prisoners of conscience who
are at immediate risk of torture and
murder.
Jennefer graduated from
New York City’s Fordham University with
a Bachelor of Arts degree in
Communications (Print Journalism).
