Jennefer is the PR expert for Inc.com, the popular website for the top-selling magazine devoted to entrepreneurs. She has
filmed several web-based tips videos on topics ranging from getting media placements to writing a public relations plan. She
has presented on public relations at New York University, The Learning Annex and the Science, Industry and Business
Library. Jennefer has been quoted in a variety of local and national media including the Associated Press, The New York
Observer, The Denver Post, SmallBiz.com, The Real Deal, MORE Magazine and Sixty Second Secrets, an e-book on
publicity. She has appeared on Small Business Radio, a web-based radio program geared toward business owners. Her work
has been mentioned in The New York Times.
Before launching The Boreland Group in 2002, she was a vice president at Ketchum, a global communications firm. In her
position, she led domestic and global staffs on behalf of blue-chip accounts such as FedEx, IBM Microelectronics, PMC
Sierra, JP Morgan Chase/LabMorgan, Pitney Bowes and AC Nielsen. She started a corporate technology sub-practice which
generated a million dollars in revenue in its first year. Her efforts and consistent rock-solid professionalism led to her receive
Ketchum's highest employee honor, the Catalyst award. Before that, she worked at other New York City public relations
agencies where she managed accounts in highly competitive categories including manufacturing, technology and building
products. Throughout her career, she has worked with extremely demanding clients and thrived. Delivering on performance
and providing substantive results is nothing new to her.
Jennefer graduated from New York City's Fordham University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications (Print
Journalism). She is a member of The Publicity Club, The American Institute of Architects/New York Chapter and 85 Broads.
Among the charities she supports are the Southern Poverty Law Center, Project ALS, Doctors Without Borders, the American
Civil Liberties Union, and The Scholar Rescue Fund. She is a former board member of The Drum Major Institute, a
progressive policy think-tank founded on the principles of Rev Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and re-launched by his son, Martin
Luther King, III.
